“Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu Condemns BJP’s Bid to Destabilize Himachal Pradesh Government”
Addressing a massive gathering in Dharampur, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu of Himachal Pradesh expressed outrage over attempts by some Congress MLAs to cross-vote in the Rajya Sabha elections, accusing them of betrayal and playing with the sentiments of the people. He vowed that those who betrayed the party’s trust wouldn’t escape divine justice.
The Chief Minister highlighted the challenges faced by his government, including attempts by rebel MLAs to overthrow the government during the budget session. He attributed these actions to the BJP’s inability to accept the numerous welfare schemes implemented by his government for the benefit of the people.
Sukhu emphasized the significant measures taken by his government to combat corruption, increase minimum wages, support widows’ children, raise milk procurement prices, and introduce agricultural budgets. He reassured the people of his unwavering commitment to serving them and protecting the state’s wealth from exploitation.
In the face of opposition attempts to destabilize his government, Sukhu declared his determination to complete the full five-year term and thanked Rahul Gandhi for his guidance in serving the marginalized communities. He also highlighted efforts to bolster the state’s economy despite natural calamities.
Promising further development initiatives, Sukhu announced plans to establish a Jal Shakti Department division and a degree college in Subathu, Kasauli. He also pledged to construct a playfield and urged the concerned MLA to identify suitable land for the project.
Health Minister Dr. Dhani Ram Shandil stressed the importance of upholding democracy amid attempts to undermine the government undemocratically, while Chief Parliamentary Secretary Ram Kumar affirmed the government’s integrity by citing its clean record and commitment to disaster relief efforts.
Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sanjay Awasthi condemned attempts to seize power through underhanded means, pledging to fulfill all promises gradually. Local MLA Vinod Sultanpuri expressed solidarity with the Chief Minister and thanked him for allocating significant funds for Kasauli’s development.
The event was attended by various political dignitaries, including INTUC President Bawa Hardeep Singh and District Congress President Shiv Kumar, underscoring widespread support for Chief Minister Sukhu’s administration.
