In a heart-wrenching incident, Ashish, a resident of Shimla, was brutally murdered in Chandigarh’s Nayagaon area. Two suspects have been apprehended by the police in connection with the murder that shook the region just two days ago. The body of 20-year-old Ashish was discovered in Nayagaon, prompting the Mohali police to launch an investigation into the heinous crime. The suspects have been taken into custody for a two-day police remand.

According to reports, Ashish, who hailed from Shimla, was employed in Chandigarh. On March 31st, as he returned to his room after work, he was attacked by two youths in the Vikas Nagar area of Nayagaon. The assailants, with intentions of robbery, assaulted Ashish and subsequently stabbed him to death.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Mohit Agarwal revealed in an interview with News18 that a body was recovered from Nayagaon two days ago, indicating a cold-blooded murder. The victim sustained multiple stab wounds to the chest, indicating a vicious attack. Further investigation revealed that the motive behind the murder was robbery. The perpetrators, identified as Akash Pachisia and Karan, both residents of Nayagaon, have been arrested by the police and are currently under a two-day remand for questioning.
