SJVN Celebrates International Women’s Day 2024 with Inspiring Event in Shimla
SJVN, a leading Power Sector CPSE, hosted a grand event in Shimla to celebrate International Women’s Day 2024. The event, themed #InspireInclusion, saw 179 women participants gather for a day of inspiration and empowerment.
Smt. Geeta Kapur, Chairman & Managing Director, SJVN, presided over the function. She highlighted the historical significance of women’s contributions and applauded Ms. Geeta Phogat, Arjuna Award-winning wrestler and Commonwealth Games Gold medalist, for her groundbreaking achievements. Ms. Phogat, the special guest, delivered a motivational talk, sharing her journey of overcoming challenges and urging attendees to “Never Give Up.”
Smt. Geeta Kapur, herself a trailblazer as the first female CMD of SJVN, reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to fostering a work environment built on inclusivity, respect, and support. Sh. Chandra Shekhar Yadav, Executive Director (HR), delivered a thought-provoking address on the importance of inclusion in achieving gender equality.
An Outbound Training session focused on Team Building & Model Making aligned with the Women’s Day theme. This event marks over five years of SJVN celebrating the invaluable contributions of its female workforce. The day concluded with a resounding message of empowerment and determination, echoing SJVN’s commitment to championing gender equality and inclusivity across all operations.
