“SJVN Clinches Esteemed Platinum Award for Utility Developer of the Year in CPSU Category at India Annual Solar Awards 2023”

In a remarkable achievement, Sh. Nand Lal Sharma, Chairman & Managing Director of SJVN, proudly announced that SJVN has been honored with the prestigious “Platinum Award under the Utility Developer of the Year in CPSU Category” at the renowned India Annual Solar Awards 2023. This distinguished accolade was presented by EQ, a renowned platform in the Energy Sector, during the RE Investech & Suryacon Conference held in New Delhi.

Sh. Nand Lal Sharma expressed his gratification, emphasizing that this momentous recognition is a testament to SJVN’s remarkable strides in the solar energy sector over the past year, resonating on a global scale. He highlighted that this achievement underscores the company’s pivotal role in facilitating the transition from conventional fossil fuel-based energy sources to sustainable renewable energy sources.

Sh. Nand Lal Sharma further elaborated, “With 4.6 GW solar projects in various stages of development, all secured through competitive tariff-based bidding processes, SJVN is steadfastly propelling toward a greener and cleaner energy future.”

The distinguished award was accepted by Sh. Ajay Kumar Singh, the CEO of SJVN Green Energy Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SJVN.

SJVN has harmonized its shared vision of becoming a 50,000 MW company by 2040 with the Government of India’s ambitious target of achieving 50 percent energy generation from non-fossil fuels by 2030.
