State Government Gears Up for Grand Two-Year Milestone Celebration in Bilaspur

The Himachal Pradesh government is set to mark two years of its tenure with a grand celebratory event on December 11, 2024, in Bilaspur. The function will be a significant milestone, reflecting the government’s achievements and commitment to progress. The celebrations will begin with a rally scheduled at 10:30 AM, and prominent Congress leaders, ministers, MLAs, board and corporation heads, election candidates, and Congress party office bearers will grace the occasion. Beneficiaries of various state government schemes will also participate, making it a diverse and inclusive gathering.

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, during a high-level meeting with senior officials on Monday evening, emphasized meticulous planning to ensure the event’s success. He stressed smooth traffic management in Bilaspur to minimize inconvenience to the public and directed the district administration to arrange sufficient parking, cleanliness, and proper toilet facilities. Highlighting the importance of showcasing the government’s achievements, the Chief Minister revealed plans to present a comprehensive two-year report card that would outline the positive societal impacts of the government’s policies and programs.

The Chief Minister noted that the current administration has implemented notable reforms across various departments, leading to improved public services, enhanced transparency, and significant progress in digitization throughout the state. He urged the Information and Public Relations Department to prepare a documentary that captures these accomplishments and highlights the transformative journey of the state government over the past two years.

Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena, Additional Chief Secretaries Onkar Chand Sharma and Kamlesh Kumar Pant, DGP Dr. Atul Verma, Secretary to the Chief Minister Rakesh Kanwar, administrative secretaries, and senior officials actively participated in the meeting to finalize the preparations. Deputy Commissioner Bilaspur, Abid Hussain Sadiq, joined the discussions via video conferencing from Bilaspur, ensuring seamless coordination for the upcoming event.

The event aims to celebrate governance and achievements while reaffirming the state government’s commitment to serving the people.
