Sukhbir Singh Badal Serves Legal Notice to Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, Threatens Criminal Defamation Case

Shiromani Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Singh Badal has issued a legal notice to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, demanding a written apology within seven days for alleged “scandalous and concocted imputations” regarding his private business. Badal warned of a criminal defamation case against the AAP leader if the apology isn’t tendered.

“I have served @BhagwantMann a legal notice asking him to tender a written apology (within 7 days) for making scandalous and concocted imputations against me vis a vis my private business, failing which he should be ready to face a criminal defamation case,” Badal tweeted.

Badal further emphasized Mann’s evasion of court appearances regarding a previous defamation case filed by Badal against him and vowed not to let him go “scot-free.” He asserted that Mann must apologize or be prepared to face legal consequences.
