THDC India Limited Concludes Hindi Fortnight with Award Ceremony
Rishikesh, 30.09.2024: Shri R.K. Banoai, Director (Personnel & Administration), THDC India Limited, graced the occasion of the Hindi Fortnight culmination and award ceremony by congratulating the winners of various competitions held during the Hindi Fortnight and all the winners awarded under the incentive schemes. He urged them to carry out their official work increasingly in Hindi. Earlier on September 14, 2024, on the occasion of Hindi Diwas, Shri Banoai had appealed to all the employees to show enthusiasm and interest in working in Hindi. Congratulating all the employees of THDC India Limited for winning the “Rajbhasha Kirti” award conferred by the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, he said that we should continue to enhance our performance so that we can continue to achieve such milestones in future.
The Hindi Fortnight was celebrated at THDC in September 2024. The culmination and award ceremony was organized today under the chairmanship of Shri Shailendra Singh, Director (Operations). The program was inaugurated with a lamp lighting ceremony. Shri Singh, by presenting awards to the officials and employees for various competitions held during the Hindi Fortnight and the incentive schemes implemented in the undertaking, congratulated them.
In his address, the Director (Operations), Shri Shailendra Singh, said that it is a matter of pride that the undertaking has been awarded the first Rajbhasha Kirti Award on Hindi Diwas on September 14, 2024. This prestigious award is a testimony to the fact that THDC is moving towards excellence in human resource management. He congratulated all the employees for this and appealed to all the employees to be inspired and motivated by this great achievement and work unitedly with full dedication for national unity and integrity and ensure compliance with the directions and guidelines of the Department of Official Language for all employees to carry out their official work in Hindi. Senior officials and employees from the corporate office were present on this occasion.
Shri Pankaj Kumar Sharma, Deputy General Manager (Official Language), who was conducting the program, informed about the programs and activities organized during the Hindi Fortnight. In the Hindi essay competition organized during the Hindi Fortnight, Smt. Karan Singh, Geologist, won the first prize, Shri Anand Kumar Aawal, Sr. Manager, in the translation competition, Shri Ritesh Sharma, Deputy Manager, in the shorthand competition, Smt. Himanshu Jaiswal, Assistant, in the dictation test competition, Smt. Amrita Rathore, Officer, secured the first position. In the Hindi e-mail competition organized separately for executives and non-executives, Shri Shubhanshi Mani Tripathi, Assistant Manager, and Shri Gabbar Singh Bagri, Assistant, secured the first position in the executive and non-executive categories respectively. A Hindi and general knowledge quiz competition was also organized for the members of the Nagar Rajbhasha Karya Samiti institutions, in which Shri Vijay Bhatt, BHEL Haridwar, secured the first position.
Along with these, employees were also awarded under various incentive schemes. In the category of departments doing commendable work in Hindi Fortnight, Shri Ishwar Dutt Utgikar, Additional General Manager, HRD, was the first, in the category of maximum budget, Shri Mukesh Verma, Additional General Manager (HRD-Budget), in the category of not writing any remarks in Hindi from the original copy, Shri Shiv Prasad Ayas, Assistant Manager (HRD) and Shri S.S. Rangad, Officer (HRD) were the first. On this occasion, 10 Hindi nodal officers who ensured the best official language implementation in their respective departments were also awarded. The five best writings published in the undertaking’s Rajbhasha Patrika “Pehal” were also awarded in this program. The HRD section was awarded the inter-departmental moving Rajbhasha trophy.
