A tragic accident unfolded on Wednesday on the Ludhiana-Chandigarh road near Samrala, Punjab. A tourist bus carrying pilgrims from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, collided with a stationary truck. The pilgrims were on their way to Amritsar after visiting Haridwar.

The impact of the collision resulted in the death of two passengers, identified as Meenakshi (52) and Saroj Bala (54), both from Indore. Twelve other passengers sustained injuries, with eight requiring hospitalization due to the severity.
