Tragic Road Accident in Kullu’s Lagg Valley: One Dead, Three Critically Injured

Kullu, Himachal Pradesh: A tragic road accident occurred in the Bhutti area of Lagg Valley, Kullu district, resulting in the death of one person and severe injuries to three others. According to the information received, a Thar vehicle traveling from Kullu to Lagg Valley lost control near Bhutti and plunged into the Sarvari River. The impact of the accident was so severe that the car was completely wrecked upon hitting the river.

The vehicle had four occupants at the time of the accident. Bhupendra Singh (32), a resident of Bhumtir village in Lagg Valley, Kullu, died on the spot. The other three occupants—Varun Thakur, Bobby, and Himanshu—sustained critical injuries. They were promptly transported to Kullu Hospital via a 108 ambulance for emergency treatment.

CPS Sunder Singh Thakur visited the hospital to check on the injured and expressed his condolences. SP Kullu reported that the police registered a case immediately after receiving the accident notification and have begun an investigation. Bhupendra Singh’s body has been sent for post-mortem and subsequently handed over to his family.

This tragic incident has cast a pall of sorrow over the entire area.
