“Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar Foresees India’s Rise as the Third Most Powerful Economy”
In a significant address at the inaugural ceremony of the 500th center of the ‘Ek Se Shrestha’ organization in Hamirpur, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar expressed admiration for the simplicity and culture of the people of Himachal Pradesh. During the event, he highlighted India’s rapid progress, projecting it to soon become the third most economically powerful nation globally. The Vice President emphasized the need for every citizen to contribute to India’s development by 2047, aiming to be the most developed nation.
Dhankhar commended the initiatives taken over the last decade, particularly in women empowerment, citing the effectiveness of the Nari Shakti Vandan Act. He praised Union Minister Anurag Thakur for successfully implementing various social projects.
The Vice President engaged in an interactive session on the ‘Role of Youth in Developed India 2047’ at the National Institute of Technology Hamirpur. Discussing challenges faced by the youth, he underscored the transformative power of education, especially in the era of Artificial Intelligence. Dhankhar invited students to visit the Parliament House, encouraging them to utilize India’s demographic dividend for national development.
Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla lauded the program’s social concern initiatives and praised Union Minister Anurag Thakur’s efforts in implementing social projects. The Governor expressed commitment to adopting five centers under the ‘Ek Se Shrestha’ program, emphasizing the initiative’s role in ensuring quality education as the birthright of every child.
Union Minister Anurag Thakur welcomed the Vice President and the Governor, highlighting the initiative’s impact on students’ overall development. He shared that over 9,000 children benefit from these centers, with a focus on providing assistance to government school students up to the village and panchayat level.
In the interactive session, Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla emphasized the transformative potential of Amrit Kaal in elevating India to new heights. He stressed the 21st century belonging to India as it progresses toward becoming the most powerful nation globally.
Cabinet Minister Rajesh Dharmani discussed the state government’s efforts in managing natural disasters and rehabilitating affected families. He urged Vice President Dhankhar to cooperate in securing generous financial assistance from the Central Government for ongoing relief efforts in the state.
