“Weather Alert: Rain and Thunderstorms Forecasted in Himachal Pradesh from April 3-5”
Himachal Pradesh is set to experience adverse weather conditions from April 3rd to 5th, with rain and thunderstorms predicted across the state. Starting from the night of April 2nd, a western disturbance is expected to become active over the region, leading to rainfall in the upper areas including Chamba, Lahaul Spiti, and Kinnaur, as well as in the mid-region districts of Kangra, Shimla, Sirmaur, and Mandi. Alert warnings have been issued due to the possibility of thunder and lightning in some parts of Chamba, Kangra, Mandi, Shimla, and Sirmaur during this period.
Following the disturbance, the weather is anticipated to normalize from April 6th onwards, with clearer conditions expected on April 7th and 8th. Over the past 24 hours, temperatures have remained below normal, with Una recording the highest temperature at 33.4 degrees Celsius, while Shimla recorded around 17.8 degrees Celsius, Manali around 11.9 degrees Celsius, and Bilaspur around 28 degrees Celsius. Yesterday’s cloud cover contributed to cooler temperatures, but today, the weather is clear, potentially leading to temperatures reaching or exceeding normal levels.
Additionally, after April 3rd, as the western disturbance becomes active, temperatures are likely to remain normal, with a decrease expected in areas experiencing rainfall. Stay tuned for further updates as the situation develops.
