Shimla, April 12: A woman was killed and a man was seriously injured in an HRTC bus accident in the capital Shimla on Friday due to the negligence of the bus driver. According to the information, at 10 am in the morning, the driver of the HRTC electric bus first hit a bus at the old bus stand and while hitting it, the second bus entered the taxi stand where a bike and a car were also caught in the bus. During this time, a woman and a person waiting for the Junga bus were also hit by the bus, causing serious injuries to the woman and the person. With the help of local people and the police, the woman and the injured person were taken to the hospital. Where the woman died during treatment. The deceased woman has been identified as Radha (48), a resident of Junga Shimla, while the injured person has been identified as Bhag Singh, a retired HRTC employee. The police have arrested the bus driver.

In the preliminary investigation of the bus accident by the corporation management, the negligence of the driver has been found. The corporation has suspended (suspended) the electric bus driver Praveen Kumar in view of the negligence and has also set up a departmental inquiry.
