Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini launched a sharp attack on opposition parties, accusing them of deliberately spreading misinformation to mislead the public as they lack substantive issues against the state government, asserting during a press interaction at Haryana Niwas that while industrialists and citizens across India are expressing confidence over the recent India–US trade engagement shaped under the leadership of Narendra Modi, it is only the Congress party that appears politically unsettled by the Centre’s strategic economic decisions, positioning Haryana as a beneficiary of strong national leadership and stable policy direction; emphasizing Haryana’s emergence as a preferred investment destination, Saini referred to his recent Japan visit where Memorandums of Understanding worth approximately ₹5,000 crore were signed, adding that several investors have already identified land parcels and initiated groundwork while global corporations have also conveyed interest in expanding operations in the state, reinforcing the narrative that Haryana’s investor-friendly ecosystem, streamlined clearances and industrial infrastructure are drawing sustained capital inflows; he further stated that out of the ten Industrial Model Townships announced in the previous budget, land has been identified for six and construction-related activities are progressing swiftly, indicating that industrial expansion remains central to Haryana’s economic growth strategy, and hinted that the forthcoming Union Budget will introduce additional industry-focused reforms expected to strengthen manufacturing and employment generation within the state; commenting on political developments in Punjab, Saini claimed that fiscal mismanagement under successive governments there has weakened economic stability and expressed confidence that the BJP will form the next government in Punjab, arguing that Haryana’s disciplined financial management model could serve as a benchmark for regional governance; highlighting agricultural support policies, he pointed out that Haryana procures 24 crops at Minimum Support Price and provides timely compensation during natural calamities, asserting that such measures demonstrate the government’s commitment to farmer welfare and rural stability; responding to criticism over recruitment under the Haryana Public Service Commission, the Chief Minister defended merit-based selection processes, stating that just as Haryana’s youth secure jobs in neighboring states including Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh, candidates from other states can also compete in Haryana purely on merit, underscoring the administration’s emphasis on transparency and equal opportunity; he revealed that around 36,000 youths have been provided government employment this year on merit while recruitment is ongoing for approximately 12,500 additional vacancies including nearly 5,500 posts in the police department, presenting employment generation as a key governance achievement; addressing concerns regarding deaths linked to an unidentified illness in Palwal district, Saini assured that the state government has acted promptly with health department teams conducting investigations and providing medical assistance to affected families, framing the administration as responsive and proactive; overall, the Chief Minister’s remarks reflect a broader political narrative positioning Haryana as economically robust, investment-ready and administratively transparent while dismissing opposition allegations as politically motivated attempts to create confusion ahead of upcoming electoral battles.
