In a decisive move to accelerate urban beautification, infrastructure upgrades, and sanitation systems across Haryana, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has approved projects worth ₹342 crore. The announcement came during a High Powered Works Purchase Committee (HPWPC) meeting chaired by the CM in Panchkula on Monday.

The meeting, attended by Urban Local Bodies Minister Vipul Goel, sanctioned a wide range of development and civic improvement works in multiple cities, while also securing cost savings of nearly ₹11.90 crore through post-bid negotiations with contractors.

Focus on Transparency, Timeliness, and Accountability

CM Saini directed officials to ensure that civil work tenders are floated under a fully transparent, efficient, and time-bound process, supported by a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). The SOP will define clear deadlines and assign responsibilities for each stage to prevent delays and ensure timely execution.

“Quality in development works is non-negotiable,” the Chief Minister said, adding that contractors delivering high-quality results will be recognised and honoured. Conversely, agencies found negligent or substandard in their work will face strict action.

Towards a ‘Clean and Beautiful Haryana’

He reiterated the government’s commitment to achieving the vision of “Swachh Haryana – Sundar Haryana” (Clean Haryana – Beautiful Haryana) through rapid, result-oriented urban transformation.
