The Meteorological Department issued a ‘yellow alert’ for Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Karnal, and Panipat, predicting rainfall intensity between 75% to 100%. Cities like Sirsa, Fatehabad, Hisar, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Jhajjar, Mahendragarh, Rewari, Gurugram, Faridabad, Nuh, Palwal, Rohtak, Jind, Kaithal, Kurukshetra, and Sonipat were also expected to receive moderate to heavy rains. As a result, the Chief Minister’s planned Van Mahotsava programme in Sonipat was postponed.

On the administrative side, the Haryana government announced the imminent launch of a new online portal designed to ensure job security for casual and temporary workers. This portal will allow such employees to submit grievances and resolve employment-related issues efficiently. There was also mention of ongoing recruitment drives for drivers in the State Child Welfare Council and a soon-to-open correction portal related to the Haryana CET, reflecting a focus on employment and administrative reform.

Elsewhere, sanitation workers protested outside the Panchayat Minister’s residence in Panipat, demanding the fulfillment of government promises and warning of an impending strike. Meanwhile, the Dera Sacha Sauda chief launched an e-commerce venture during an online event, signaling the growing role of religious figures in business and technology in Haryana society. All these developments contributed to a busy and impactful news day in the state.
