Chandigarh, August 8 – Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has issued strong directives to all Deputy Commissioners to ensure the prompt and effective resolution of every public grievance registered during the state’s ongoing ‘Samadhan Shivirs’ (Solution Camps). Emphasizing the critical role of these camps in restoring public confidence in governance, the Chief Minister made it clear that no grievance, whether minor or major, should be overlooked and that swift action must be taken to provide timely relief to the citizens.
Chairing a virtual meeting with Deputy Commissioners across the state, the Chief Minister reviewed the progress made in addressing complaints received through the Samadhan initiative. He expressed concern over the high number of unresolved complaints in certain districts and took serious note of the delay in grievance redressal. He instructed officials in those districts to urgently focus on clearing the backlog, especially the older, long-pending complaints, so that the number of pending issues could be brought down to zero. The goal, he said, is to ensure that every individual’s concern is addressed with urgency and sincerity.
Highlighting the purpose of the Samadhan Shivirs, the Chief Minister said that these camps are meant to provide a unified platform for multi-departmental coordination where citizens can bring their issues and expect prompt, on-the-spot resolutions. He strongly asserted that if a citizen is compelled to return repeatedly with the same complaint, the concerned officer will be held accountable for administrative failure. He directed the Deputy Commissioners to ensure that officials from all departments take each complaint seriously and respond with actionable solutions so that citizens are not forced to make multiple visits to government offices.
Referring to complaints related to law enforcement, Chief Minister Saini also directed police officials to act swiftly and impartially, ensuring timely and satisfactory outcomes. He stated that public trust in police institutions hinges on transparency and responsiveness, and the department must live up to that expectation.
He further instructed that senior officers from the concerned departments must be physically present at these grievance camps to facilitate real-time coordination and immediate resolutions. According to the Chief Minister, the ultimate goal of these camps is to foster seamless interdepartmental coordination that leads to meaningful, timely, and visible outcomes for citizens.
Present at the meeting were Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, Additional Chief Secretary of the Services Department G. Anupama, and the Chief Minister’s OSD Bharat Bhushan Bharti, along with other senior officials.
